Run with a Purpose in Seattle!

Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle is more than a race. It’s a rockin’ run with bands along the route, thousands of cheering fans, and a post race concert. Music makes up the heart and “sole” of this annual event. Live bands perform a variety of music from alternative, classic and punk rock to blues, jazz and soul every couple kilometers along the race course. Register to run with TEAM VOLKEN for the Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday, June 18, 2017 and help us change lives!

By supporting TEAM VOLKEN in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon Series, you help The John Volken Academy rebuild lives by providing relevant life-skills training and job-skills development.

About the John Volken Academy

The John Volken Academy is a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center for young men and women aged 18-32. Our residents overcome their addictions, as well as further their education, receive extensive career training, and gain all the tools they need to live happy and successful lives of sobriety. There are currently three academies in Seattle, Washington, Phoenix, Arizona and Vancouver, Canada. The program’s affordability is at the heart of its purpose. Other than a small one-time admittance fee, the entire cost of the 2-year+ program is paid for by the John Volken Foundation and by generous donations from other foundations and supporting businesses. This includes housing, food, job training, and more.

Our mission is to be a world leader in providing the most effective and most affordable addiction recovery program, teaching relevant life and job skills, and instilling in each of our students the desire to always be the best that they can be for themselves, for their families, and for their community.
